- Venue Data – promotions, events submitted by venues. Third-Party Data – venue details via Google Places and APIs.

1A. Account Registration & Age Verification

HopSpot requires users to create an account before accessing app features. This ensures that:

- Users confirm they are 18 years or older, as the app displays venues that serve alcohol and may promote adult-oriented events.
- We can comply with applicable age-restriction and advertising laws relating to alcohol and adult venues.
- User preferences, vibe posts, and location data are securely linked to a verified account, allowing for better privacy control and data accuracy.
- We maintain app security and prevent unauthorised access or misuse of venue data.

Account registration requires only minimal personal information (name, email, and date of birth) and is used solely for authentication, age verification, and the proper functioning of HopSpot’s features.

2. Purpose of Collection

- Provide real-time crowd levels, promotions, and events. Enable venues to access aggregated analytics.
- Personalise and improve user experience.
- Communicate updates and promotions (opt-out available).
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Maintain app security and functionality.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure
- Venues – aggregated analytics only, no identifiable patron data.
- Service Providers – AWS, Firebase, Google APIs. Legal – if required by law or regulation.
- Business Transactions – mergers or acquisitions.
- Advertisers – anonymised data unless explicit consent is given.

5. Retention

Personal data is stored only as long as required. Vibe posts may expire automatically or be deleted by the user. Account deletions result in data removal or anonymisation.
